Ningbo Iron & Steel Co., Ltd.

Established on January 14, 2003, its predecessor was Ningbo Jianlong Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. On March 16, 2006, National Development & Reform Commission approved the application to restructure Ningbo Iron & Steel Project, and on July 7 of that year Ningbo Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. was established. In 2008 due to the impact of financial crisis, the production and project construction of Ningbo Steel were trapped in a plight. On March 1, 2009, Baosteel Group Corporation restructured Ningbo Steel. After restructuring, the ownership of Ningbo Steel is: Baosteel Group 56.15%, Hangzhou Iron & Steel Group Company 34%, Ningbo Development & Investment Group Co., Ltd. 7%, and Ningbo Economic & Technical Development Zone Holding Co., Ltd. 2.85%. The main products of Ningbo Steel are hot-rolled coils.

In 2010, Ningbo Steel realized an operating revenue of RMB RMB 15.6 billion, a profit of RMB 400 million, and an annual crude steel capacity of 4.4 million tons.
