Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd.

A subsidiary controlled by Baosteel Group, which was established by Baosteel Group as the sole sponsor on February 3, 2000. The company was listed in Shanghai Stock Exchange on December 12, 2000. In 2005, the company made an additional public offering of 5 billion ordinary shares in RMB to acquire the main steel business and the excellent assets related to it of Meishan Company, No.1 Steel Company and No.5 Steel Company under Baosteel Group. The total capital stock after the additional offering and acquisition is 17.512 billion shares, 73.97% of which is controlled by Baosteel Group.

In 2010, Baosteel Co., Ltd. sold 25.261 million tons of steel and realized a total operating revenue of RMB 202.41 billion and a pre-tax profit of RMB 17.08 billion, maintaining the best performance among its domestic peers.

In the year, Baosteel Co., Ltd. received many honors including "Top 20 Board of Directors of the Central-enterprises-holding listed companies", "Best Board of Directors in Assuming Social Responsibilities (Top 20)", "Best Board of Directors in Corporate Governance (Top 20)" among Chinese listed companies, and "Best CSR Report" of metal and non-metal A share listed companies, No.9 among the top 100 of the 5th Chinese IR Companies and the Best IR Innovation Company among the listed companies, etc.
