Baosteel realizes chromium-free production of serial electrogalvanized CR products
Since January 1, 2006, two electrogalvanizing lines of Baosteel Branch's Cold Rolling Plant have thoroughly realized chromium-free production. So far, Baosteel's elecrogalvanized passivated, phosphated, fingerprint resistant and non-treated products have become environment-friendly steel at home for the first time, which opens a "green tunnel" for their users specialized in manufacturing electric appliances to enter the European market.
In 2006, all the sheets or plates for electric appliances ordered by Haier from Baosteel have been changed to environment-friendly steel. Many world famous enterprises such as Lenovo and Panasonic have begun to use Baosteel's environment-friendly cold-rolled products.
