Baosteel Ranks the Third Based on the Comprehensive Competition among the World Class Steel Maker Identified by World Steel Dynamics
Recently World Steel Dynamics has identified 23 companies as World Class Steel Makers in 2005 based on their comprehensive competition, and Baosteel which has took part in the evaluation as a group for the first time ranks the third.
Among 20 indexes，Baosteel has got full marks---10points--- in profitability, dominant position at home and low-cost financing channels. And it has got 8 points in technology innovation and operating costs. Among these 23 companies, TATA ranks the first, Posco the second, Baosteel and Russia-based Severstal tie for the third.
