Baosteel No. 1 Steel Achieves its Monthly Production Goal
Up to March 28, Baosteel Group Shanghai No.1 Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. has made exciting achievements with its stainless steel continuous casting billet surpassing 60 thousand tons, achieving its monthly production goal ahead of schedule. In the afternoon of March 28, Xie Qihua, chairwoman of Shanghai Baosteel Group Corporation made a phone call to offer her congratulations on the success, she also encouraged the staff of Baosteel No. 1 Steel to make persistent efforts to produce premium stainless steel products and to glorify the "Baosteel" brand.
Aiming at the market demands, Baosteel No. 1 Steel has developed 12 varieties of stainless steel products in 8 series.The successful launch of the line to achieve its monthly production goal can be of real significance for Baosteel No. 1 Steel to implement "the premium product strategy" and to take the preemptive opportunities in the stainless steel industry in China.Baosteel No. 1 Steel will provide more stainless steel coils for Ningbo Baoxin Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. (Baoxin Co.) and Shanghai Krupp Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. in the future. Presently, it is cooperating with Baoxin Co. to develop six items of high-tech & high-value-added new products such as ferritic stainless steel for refrigerator and austenitic stainless steel for deep drawing. Meanwhile, Baosteel No. 1 Steel is quickening its steps and striving for the hot load trial run of the line to be conducted at the end of June. Baosteel No. 1 Steel will form an annual stainless steel production capacity of 1.5 million tons by the end of this year.
