Xie Qihua Elected New Chairwoman of China Iron and Steel Association
According to the Association Constitution and the election results of the second congress held in Sep. 2003, Xie Qihua was declared new chairwoman at the enlarged meeting held by China Iron and Steel Association council on January 29,2005,her predecessor Wu Xichun would act as advisor.
Xie deemed highly of Wu's work, she analyzed the present situation and the tasks the association faced. She expressed that China Iron and Steel Association should play an active role in communication and coordination to promote the stable and healthy development of China's iron and steel industry and enhance its international competence.
