Baosteel Employees Donate RMB One Million to Tsunami Victims
On January 6, Baosteel employees donated RMB 1 million to victims of the Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunamis during a fund-raising show for tsunami victims held in the studio of Shanghai Oriental TV Station participated by people of all circles in Shanghai.
The show was organized by Shanghai Charity Funds, Shanghai Red Cross Society and the Office of Spiritual Civilization Construction.China Red Societies reacted immediately to the tsunami crisis, launching an emergency appeal to provide assistance to the tsunami victims. Members of Baosteel Red Cross Society including many retired employees, laid-off workers and family members of Baosteel employees also joined in humanitarian relief to help the victims.
